Harbour View
After training at Wimbledon School of Art
I have spent my life providing designs for theatre
productions as well as conferences and live
events all around the UK as well as in Europe
ranging from an open air production of “Pinocchio”
to the film premiere of “The War of the
Worlds” in Leicester Square, London. I
have also worked as a production designer in
model animation for childrens television working
on “The Wind in the Willows” and
“The Fool of the World & his Flying
Ship”
I had some of my work in the recent exhibition
of contemporary theatre design – “Collaborators”
– at the Victoria & Albert Museum
in London.
All of these entailed drawing and painting
sets as well as costumes, even making models
of the designs as required. But until this last
year I had rarely just “painted a picture”
or “made a drawing” for myself!
I am now relishing the freedom that brings
along with the uncertainty of choosing a subject.
However I am beginning to explore the human
figure more and also have become fascinated
by the overlapping shapes of buildings and other
man made structures. |
