Dorothy Stapleton studied ceramics at Wimbledon Art College in the 1960s.

She was a tutor in various handicrafts in Adult Education for many years. She taught, exhibited and lectured on quilting nationally and internationally, writing books and making videos on the subject.  Her quilts were original and amusing. 

Recently she decided to give up quilting and renew her interest in painting and joined the LAC.
